There is no real shame in the loss that the Idaho women’s basketball team suffered on Wednesday. Despite dropping the game by more than 30 points, this team showed plenty of promise, leaving no cause for alarm.
The Vandals lost 99-56 halfway across the country against an Ohio State team that was ranked inside the nation’s top 10 and tallied their 1,000th win as a program. There were plenty of negatives to learn from, but tough out-of-conference games like this one are great ways to keep the team humble while showing signs of development.
“This is why we schedule games like this,” Idaho head coach Jon Newlee said in a news release.
