Opinion: Big Three for the Win

Idaho women’s basketball team made a statement with its win against the reigning Mountain West Champions Colorado State University Friday with a game that was filled with a lot of offense and supportive defense.

The Vandals biggest strength throughout the contest was The Big Three — junior guards Taylor Pierce and Mikayla Ferenz and freshman guard Allison Kirby. The starting big three took control of the offensive while Idaho’s bench only scored 12 points. The big three alone contributed 60 points of the total 83 that was scored.

In the first period the Rams went on a four to zero run three minutes into the game, but that eventually would end by the pure dominates of Idaho’s offense.
