FARMINGTON, Utah— Legendary University of Idaho athletes and former All-Americans Doug Nussmeier and Dan O'Brien were inducted into the Big Sky Hall of Fame, the conference announced on Thursday morning.
Nussmeier, a Vandal quarterback from 1990-93, rewrote the Idaho record book during his time in Moscow. In the 39 games he lined up under center, Nussmeier quarterbacked one of the most electric offenses in Division 1-AA history. En route to winning Idaho's second Walter Payton Award in his senior season, Nussmeier recorded a historic 172.2 QB rating, completed 61% of his passes, threw for 2,960 yards, and a school-record record 33 touchdowns.
