SAN DIEGO – Idaho men's tennis took San Diego State to the wire, but fell by a score of 4-3 on Friday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center.
, and registered singles wins for the Vandals (0-3). San Diego State's Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice clinched the match, with help from Bora Sengul, Robin Parts and the doubles unit.
The Vandals put together competitive efforts on all three courts in doubles. SDSU started off by earning a 7-5 win at No. 2 before a 7-6 (8-6) tiebreak on court one. The Vandal pair of and Medica battled their way to match point but allowed the Aztecs to complete the comeback.
