LAS VEGAS, Nev.— Idaho's Guilherme Scarpelli advanced to the singles round of on day two of 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Men's Championships on Tuesday at the Darling Tennis Center on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus.
More than 80 men student-athletes, 17 western programs, are taking to the court this week (Oct. 14-18) to compete in both singles and doubles.
In singles, Idaho's Scarpelli defeated Rithvik Bollipalli of Utah State, 6-4, 6-4 in round one. He then moved on to down Enrirgue Asmar of New Mexico State in a two-setter, 6-3, 6-4.
