Idaho men’s basketball picked up its first win of the season in blowout fashion, dismantling the Bruins of George Fox 101-62 Monday night in Memorial Gymnasium.
Senior guard Victor Sanders was the driving force for Idaho in the win, scoring 29 points and igniting several runs by demonstrating the fifth best 3-point percentage in Idaho history.
Sanders needed just 16 points to surpass Ricardo Boyd, a forward from 1987 to 1991, on Idaho’s all-time scoring list. He became the Vandals’ ninth overall career scorer when he knocked in a 3-ball with just over two minutes remaining in the half.
