FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Janelle Lucas placed 28th on the platform at the NCAA Zone E Championships Wednesday, to conclude her illustrious Idaho career. Lucas was the lone Vandal to take part in the platform competition, scoring 179.20.
Lucas will graduate as arguably the top diver in program history. Earlier this year she became the first four-time conference champion on platform in Western Athletic Conference history. She is the third woman in WAC history to sweep any individual event in swimming or diving. Lucas advanced to the championship final in all three diving events at the 2019 WAC Championships, boosting her career point total at the meet to 165 points - the most by a diver in program history and the second most by any Vandal swimmer or diver in individual events.
