FARMINGTON, Utah –Kira Witte was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week following a shutout weekend at Utah Tech and UNLV. This is Witte's first Player of the Week honor this season and fourth of her career.
After a 13-shutout season last year, Witte has returned for more. This past weekend, Witte earned her first two clean sheets of the season as the Vandals went on their first road trip to Utah Tech and UNLV. With the two shutouts, Witte climbed up to the No. 1 spot in Idaho history with 15 career shutouts.
