Kim ties for ninth; Hausmann for 12th

NUEVO VALLARTA, Mexico - Sophomore Michelle Kim was a model of consistency at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational with three rounds of 73 to finish at 219 and in a tie for ninth in the Idaho Vandals final competition before the Big Sky Conference tournament.

Sophie Hausmann, also a sophomore, was one stroke back at 220 and in a tie for 12th after rounds of 74-75-71.

"We started very well today but weren't able to build on that momentum," coach Lisa Johnson said. "We are hitting the ball extremely well, so we will be focusing on our short games and putting as we head into conference.
