FRESNO, Calif. - Rain knocked out one round of the Fresno State Classic and the flu knocked out two Vandals but the three who finished the 36-hole tournament showed the impact of two weeks of steady, thoughtful practice.
Michelle Kim had a second-round 73 and Sophie Hausmann had a 74 as they matched 146s to tie for sixth. Cassie McKinley had a 75 for a total 149 and a tie for 21st.
"It was a great week for the three," coach Lisa Johnson said. "We made countless up and downs and drastically improved our putting stats.
"We are keeping our spirits high and moving towards our best golf of the spring.
