MOSCOW, Idaho – Junior Isaac Jones erupted for a career-high 42 points and Dominique Ford hit a game-tying floater at the buzzer to send the game to overtime, but Sacramento State (9-6, 2-0 BSC) made timely baskets and forced key defensive stops in the extra period to earn an 85-83 win on Thursday night at ICCU Arena.
Jones' monster night included a 19-of-26 shooting performance from the field, 12 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and three steals. Going up against 7-1, 280-pound center Callum McRae, Jones still found a way to secure his sixth double-double of the season and record the third-most points by a Vandal player in program history.
