UNIVERSITY PLACE, WASH. – The Idaho Vandal men's golf team finished sixth out of 18 teams at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational, at the legendary Chambers Bay Course. The Vandals were led by Sam Johnson's fifth-place finish, his second top 10 finish in three weeks.
Johnson was one-under for the tournament, going three under in the last two rounds on the difficult course to lead the way for the Vandals. He recorded 13 birdies in the tournament, including a birdie on hole number one for all three days.
"I'm very excited for Sam," head coach David Nuhn said.
