SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Idaho track and field picked up a number of excellent finishes on the first day of individual events at the 2017 Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Both squads currently sit in sixth place heading into day two.

Rechelle Meade broke her own school record in the long jump, leaping 6.17 meters (20-3.00) to take second and earn Second Team All-Big Sky honors. She also took second in the high jump, clearing 1.76 meters (5-9.25) for a new personal-best.
