MOSCOW, Idaho – matched her career-high with 29 points and added 14 to lead Idaho to a 67-57 Big Sky Conference win over Eastern Washington, Saturday afternoon.
The game was a close early, Idaho led 17-15 at the end of the first and Eastern Washington led 19-17 before the Vandals went on a 9-0 run. Idaho extended the lead to 35-25 behind Nelson's 17 first-half points.
The Vandals extended the lead to 48-31 in the third quarter before EWU made a fourth-quarter run. The Eagles went on a 9-0 run to cut the Vandal lead to 54-47, but Idaho made late free throws to hold on for the 10-point win.
