MOSCOW, Idaho. -The University of Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team opened up Big Sky Conference play with a 62-56 win over Idaho State in Cowan-Spectrum Arena Saturday afternoon. The Vandals fell behind to the Bengals early in the game before controlling the game at halftime with a 12-point lead. Despite struggling in the third period, the Vandals outlasted Idaho State in the fourth to win 62-56. Three Vandals totaled double-digit points including Beyonce Bea and Gina Marxen who each led the team with 16 points apiece.

Idaho State opened the game with a 5-0 run over the Vandals in the first four minutes of play.
