PULLMAN, Washington—Idaho women's tennis (0-2) fell to BYU (3-0) 7-0 in Hollingbery Fieldhouse on the campus of Washington State University, Friday afternoon.
The Cougars won the first two doubles sets to take the first point in the match. The number three doubles pairing of freshman Nicole Horacek and junior Marta Magalhaes were ahead 5-4 on Madeline Almedia and Helen Jiao, but did not finish the match before the number one and number two doubles pairings for the Vandals fell to the Cougars doubles pairings.
In singles play, graduate student Ilana Oleynik, playing in the number three spot, fell to Madeline Almedia 6-0 in the first set.
