Idaho Cross Country Recognized by USTFCCCA, Women Post Nation's Best GPA

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Idaho cross country team had a huge year in the classroom, earning United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team Awards on both the men's and women's sides.

The women posted the highest grade point average in the nation, finishing with a cumulative GPA of 3.872. The men also had an outstanding year with a cumulative GPA of 3.646, the eighth highest nationally.

"These teams are the true definition of student-athletes. The dedication and time commitment it takes to achieve this level of success in the classroom and all while devoting that same commitment to their sport shows their excellent ability to navigate the demands of life as a true student-athlete," said Director of Student-Athlete Support Services Krista Gray.
