FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Lorenz Herrmann advanced to the NCAA National Championship with an impressive performance at the NCAA West Preliminaries.
Herrmann advanced in the 800-meters with a school-record time of 1:46.90 breaking Driss Yousfi's time of 1:47.11 set back in 2006.
Herrmann had previously set a personal best in the first round of the 800 with a time of 1:47.43 to finish third in his heat to automatically advance to the regional final. He then topped his performance with the school record time in the final to qualify for the National Championship.
