Haywood, Nayar Connect Late for Vandal Win

MOSCOW, Idaho – Number seven Cutrell Haywood caught the 7-yard touchdown pass from the hand of Nikhil Nayar with seven seconds remaining to lift Idaho (2-1, 2-1) past Southern Utah (1-3, 1-3), 33-32.

Nayar stepped in late to lead the Vandals in the fourth quarter. He didn't take the field until the second to last play of the third, but still finished the night 12-of-20 for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman CJ Jordan was impressive in his first career start, going 16-of-27 for 183 yards in the air, and adding 38 yards on the ground.
