IRVINE, Calif.- Sophie Hausmann closed out the fall season with a complete performance and second-place finish at the UC Irvine Invitational. Hausmann fired a 6-under (71-69-70=210) to take runner-up honors and lead Idaho women's golf to a fourth place team finish in the tournament played at Santa Ana Country Club.
Hausmann was under par in each of her three rounds, carding 14 birdies for the tournament. She sank a 20-foot birdie putt on the 18th green, vaulting her into second place on the final stroke. The junior finished three shots back of medalist Katrina Prendergast from Colorado State.
