SHOAL CREEK, Ala.- University of Idaho women's golf student-athlete Sophie Hausmann will make history Thursday, when she tees off at the 73rd U.S. Women's Open, becoming the first Vandal – past or present – to compete in the event. The 2018 U.S. Women's Open, one of five major championships in women's golf, will be played at Shoal Creek Country Club in Shoal Creek, Ala.
Hausmann is set to tee off from the 10th tee at 4:51 a.m. PT in Thursday's first round. She will be paired with two other Europeans, Dani Holmqvist and Klara Spilkova.
