CLE ELUM, Wash. – Idaho senior Sophie Hausmann recovered from a slow start Monday, to record a 1-over 73 in the first round of the NCAA Women's Golf Cle Elum Regional. Hausmann was 3-over through two holes before rattling off 11 straight pars and back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15 to get back to 1-over. She closed the round with three more pars and finished the day tied for 26th.
Hausmann's first round started with a double bogey on the first hole, followed by a bogey on two, leaving her tied for 84th early on.
