IRVING, Texas – Idaho senior linebacker Ed Hall is a semifinalist for the 2018 William V. Campbell Trophy, the National Football Foundation announced Wednesday. The award is given to "the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation." Hall is one of 179 semifinalists spanning all divisions of the NCAA, as well as the NAIA.
The list will be trimmed to 12-14 finalists on Oct. 31, with each receiving an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship and earning a spot on the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class. Finalists will travel to New York City for the NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec.
