FARMINGTON, Utah – After delivering a pair of shutouts at home last week, Idaho goalkeeper Paula Flores and defender Alyssa Peters were selected as Big Sky Players of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Idaho earned critical conference victories to help contain its top spot in the conference standings, defeating Weber State 2-0 on Friday and topping Idaho State 4-0 on Sunday. The final two home victories improved Idaho's record to 7-0-1, achieving the best home winning percentage (.934) in program history.
The Vandals receive their fifth and sixth Big Sky Player of the Week nod, ranking first in the conference.
