MOSCOW, Idaho— Idaho women's basketball senior guard Mikayla Ferenz has been named Ready Nutrition Co-Player of the Week by Big Sky Conference office, announced Tuesday morning. The Player of the week nod is the sixth honor for Ferenz in her career and the first this season.
Ferenz put up gaudy numbers in games versus Boise State and Long Beach State over the weekend. In both games, the senior notched 30-plus points, scoring 30 against Boise State, where 28 of those points came in the first half.
The Walla Walla, Wash. native followed up with a season-high of 31 points against the 49ers of Long Beach State where she nearly recorded a double-double with nine boards.
