FARMINGTON, Utah – Junior linebacker has been named the ROOT Sports Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week after a stellar performance against Southern Utah on Saturday.
Fa'Avae set a new career-high with 18 tackles, including 11 solo tackles. His 18 tackles were the second most by a Big Sky student-athlete this season, trailing only teammate against UC Davis. He has increased his tackle total in each game this season, and has now recorded double-digit tackles in back-to-back games.
