EAGLE, Idaho - The Idaho Vandal defense impressed with a convincing 61-26 win over the offense in the annual spring game held at Eagle High School.
The 2022 spring game had a unique scoring twist compared to traditional games. Due to a limited number of available players, the Vandals pitted the offense against the defense in front of over 2000 Vandal faithful.
The offense had six different ways to score: (Touchdown: 6 Points, Field Goal: 3 Points, PAT: 1 Point, 2 Pt Conversion: 2 Points, 20 yard Gain: 1 point, First Down: 1 Point) while the defense had nine ways to earn points: (Defensive Touchdown: 12 Points, PAT after Defensive TD: 1 Point, Turnover: 6 Points, Safety: 5 Points, 3 & out (Punt/FG): 3 points, Stopped Drive in Open Field (Non 3 Out) (Punt): 1 Point, Stopped Drive on 4th Down: 3 points, Stopped Drive in Red Zone (+20): 4 Points, Sack or TFL: 2 Points, Stopped 2 Pt Conversion: 1 Point).
