MOSCOW, Idaho – Senior punter Cade Coffey has been named the Stats Perform FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week after his incredible performance in Idaho's 28-21 win over No. 12 Eastern Washington on Saturday.
Coffey was critical in the win. He punted seven times on the day, averaging 50.6 yards per punt to help flip the field and set the defense up for success. His play of the game came late in the fourth quarter, the game tied at 21. With the Vandals on their own 21-yard line, Coffey sent his longest punt of the day, a 61-yarder, to the EWU 18.
