Cawley Steps Down at Director of Track and Field and Cross Country

MOSCOW, Idaho – University of Idaho Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Tim Cawley has stepped down to pursue another Division I opportunity.

Cawley, who took over the program in 2014, guided the Vandals to 42 individual conference championships and three Big Sky Outstanding Athletes in Zack Short, Grady Leonard and Mia Sylvester. Five athletes earned Big Sky freshmen of the Year and five athletes earned All-American honors.

"I have truly enjoyed my time here at Idaho," Cawley said. "I'm grateful to Rob Spear for trusting me with the responsibility to lead these teams and I couldn't be more thankful to Chris Walsh and Terry Gawlik for the trust and guidance over the past few years.
