BREAKING: Two Idaho football players charged with theft

Two Idaho football players were charged with misdemeanor theft March 18, according to court documents.

Junior linebacker Christian Elliss and sophomore linebacker Dalton Cash allegedly attempted to steal $133 of food from the Moscow Walmart around 6:30 p.m., Pullman Radio reported.

Idaho Head Coach Paul Petrino suspended both players for the first game of the year, according to Idaho Athletics. The Vandals will play on the road against the Penn State Nittany Lions August 31.

“We make it very clear that the actions of our student-athletes reflect on more than just themselves and when those actions are not in line with our program’s expectations there will be consequences,” Petrino said in a statement from Idaho Athletics.
