Rita Bermudez can currently be seen roaming the tennis courts for the reigning Big Sky champion Idaho Vandals. A senior from Tucson, Ariz., Bermudez has aspirations to make a living in a different kind of court.
Bermudez was awarded the unique opportunity to intern for Congressman Mike Honda, who represents California’s 17th congressional district, in Washington D.C. this past summer.
NOT ALWAYS THE PLAN
Bermudez began her career at Idaho majoring in biochemistry, far from having any thoughts of politics or law school. Neither of her parents are lawyers. She didn’t debate in high school.
