MOSCOW, Idaho – After an incredible performance at the Oregon State High Performance Meet on Saturday, freshman Mack Baxter has been named the Big Sky Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week.
Baxter posted the fastest 400-meter hurdle time in the conference this season at 51.98 seconds, breaking his personal-best and moving into fourth in program history in the event. Baxter also moved up the national rankings and currently sits in 35th in the West Region.
Baxter finished second in the race, behind three-time NCAA Champion ('08, '09, '11) Jeshua Anderson.
