OGDEN, Utah – Idaho hurdler Mack Baxter has been recognized by the Big Sky Conference as the Male Track Athlete of the Week, as announced on Monday.
Baxter won the 400-meter hurdles at the Sam Adams Classic in Spokane last week, as the Vandals opened up the outdoor portion of the season. His time of 53.09 seconds was 1.66 seconds faster than his closest competition.
Baxter now ranks first in the Big Sky in the event, and is better than 1.50 seconds faster than second. He also ranks 47th in the NCAA, and 20th in the West.
