SEAL BEACH, Calif. – Sophie Hausmann sits in fourth place following the first two rounds of The Gold Rush Monday, at Old Ranch Country Club. Idaho women's golf is 10th after 36 holes, within 10 strokes of fifth place.
"I was very pleased with the first round," said head coach Lisa Johnson. "Our short game looked impressive given our lack of practice in that area. These greens are the most challenging part of the course and we were reading them well. We made some poor golf course management decisions because we haven't had to think about a lot of those things for a while, but that will come.
