Hull City U23 Harry Wood admitted the team didn’t take their chances after they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Wigan Athletic.
Goals in each half from Adam Long and Alex Perry succumbed the Tigers to defeat in the U23 Professional Development League.
“I think we matched Wigan in chances throughout the game, but we just didn’t take them unlike they did,” said Wood.
“We just wasn’t clinical enough as we had chances in both halves that we could have done better on.
“I thought overall we did some good things and I thought we had quite a decent bit of possession in certain parts of the game, but defensively, the two goals were both poor goals to concede and we should have stopped them from our perspective.
