Grant McCann confirmed to the press earlier today that Jordy de Wijs and Martin Samuelsen will miss Saturday’s trip to Sunderland, while Keane Lewis-Potter will be assessed.
de Wijs and Samuelsen picked up calf injuries in training, whilst Lewis-Potter suffered a small hamstring issue during the victory over Charlton Athletic, but will be monitored ahead of the game. Callum Jones remains absent as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
McCann also confirmed that all five players who contracted Covid-19 have returned to training, however Saturday’s trip to Sunderland may come too soon for those who are still recovering from symptoms.
