Hull City are said to be working on a last minute deal for Lyon defender Nicolas N'Koulou.
The Cameroon international only moved to Lyon in the summer after his contract expired at Marseille.
However, after making just seven league appearances this season, he has been told he can leave before the January transfer window closes.
Hull, according to reports in France, are very keen on the 26-year-old and they are frantically trying to get a deal over the line.
The Tigers currently sit 19th in the Premier League table, but they have money to spend to aid their fight for survival after selling Jake Livermore and Robert Snodgrass for a combined total of £20million.
