Richie Smallwood felt the better side lost as Hull City fell to a 2-1 defeat to Peterborough United on Saturday.
Mallik Wilks had given the Tigers the lead nine minutes before half time, but the Posh came back to snatch a 2-1 win as the Tigers suffered their first home loss of the campaign.
“It felt like we were getting into some good positions but the ball just wasn’t quite dropping for us,” said Smallwood.
“We had a few opportunities to take a shot that we scuffed, then they go up the other end and have two efforts and score two goals.
