Hull City have revealed positive news about midfielder Ryan Mason, who is awake and has been ‘speaking of the incident’ which left him with a fractured skull against Chelsea on Sunday.
The 25-year-old was stretchered off and received oxygen after a horrible, though not malicious, clash of heads with Blues defender Gary Cahill in the first half of the Tigers’ 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.
Mason was immediately taken to St Mary's Hospital in London on Sunday evening, where he will remain under observation.
Hull announced on Sunday evening that Mason is in a stable condition, and later confirmed on Monday afternoon that he had been talking about the accident during a visit from captain Michael Dawson and two members of the club’s medical staff.
