Chelsea's clash with Hull on Sunday had nine extra first-half minutes after Ryan Mason had to receive an extended spell of treatment following a clash of heads with Gary Cahill.
The Hull midfielder was on the floor for nine minutes, and then had to be rushed to St Mary's hospital for further observation, after he and Cahill collided in the 13th minute at Stamford Bridge.
Both medical teams rushed to the scene as referee Neil Swarbrick stopped play, with Cahill quickly returning to his feet and able to carry on.
Mason received treatment and oxygen while down on the ground before departing on a stretcher to be replaced by David Meyler.
