An in-depth look at the career of the Tigers’ latest signing, Ryan Longman…
Born in Redhill, Longman joined Brighton’s academy in September 2012 aged 11 and worked his way through the youth ranks.
The highly-rated forward scored 13 goals in 36 games for the Under-18s before linking up with the Under-23s, playing 20 times at that age group.
In 2019/20, Longman gained his first taste of facing senior opposition when playing for Brighton’s Under-21s in the EFL Trophy away to AFC Wimbledon and Southend – both 2-0 wins.
In between, he was handed his first-team debut as a second-half substitute in the Seagulls’ 3-1 EFL Cup third-round defeat to Aston Villa – his only Albion appearance to date.
