Premier League manager and player of the month award given revamp as fans are given their say with Twitter vote

The official Premier League manager and player of the month awards will take a new process this season, with fans for the first time given a say on the voting panel.

Traditionally the awards have been decided by a panel including former football player and managers.

In a similar way for 2016-17, a shortlist will be made for the Manager of the Month and the winner will be decided by a combination of votes from the panel and the public vote - which will be run on Twitter through the Premier League's official account.
