Greg Docherty admitted that Hull City’s start to the game was crucial in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Plymouth Argyle.
The Tigers were on the front foot from the off at Home Park, taking an 11th-minute lead through Keane Lewis-Potter’s eleventh league goal of the season, and they went on to dominate for long periods with Docherty himself getting on the scoresheet with the third goal of the afternoon.
“We’d have taken a result like that away from home all day,” said Docherty.
“Our start to the game was always going to be crucial and we started really well, and the only slightly disappointing thing on the day was that we didn’t kill the game off before half time but we came out strongly again at the start of the second half.
