Greg Docherty felt the way in which Hull City reacted to the setback of falling behind was a positive to take from the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town.
An unfortunate own goal from goalkeeper Matt Ingram, who saw a fine save from Nathanael Ogbeta’s free kick come back off the woodwork only to rebound against him and into the net, saw the Tigers go a goal down at the Montgomery Waters Meadow but they responded well with Docherty himself firing in an equaliser just after the hour mark.
“It was a bit of a sucker-punch to go behind, especially after Matty had made a great save to turn the ball onto the woodwork before it rebounded off him and into the net,” said Docherty.
