Grant McCann was left scratching his head after Hull City were beaten 2-1 by Peterborough.
Mallik Wilks’ low strike gave the Tigers a first-half lead but two goals in 12 second-half minutes from Jonson Clarke-Harris and Siriki Dembele earned Posh victory.
The defeat was City’s first on home soil and the boss felt his side were unfortunate not to come away with at least a point.
“I thought in the first half we were excellent,” said McCann.
“The shape of the team was good and we were well disciplined in terms of what we were doing.
