The Tigers will go on the hunt for a third successive win when relegation battlers Bristol Rovers visit the KCOM Stadium tomorrow.
The Pirates are sitting precariously in 20th, a point above the dotted line, and recently appointed Joey Barton to lead their survival bid.
The 38-year-old has faced Hull City twice already this season in his previous managerial role at Fleetwood Town, winning one and losing the other.
And Tigers chief Grant McCann expects Barton’s new side to adopt a similar approach to his old one.
“The way Joey’s team at Fleetwood played was high energy,” said McCann.
