McCann Praises Tactical Discipline in Stanley Win

Grant McCann praised the tactical discipline of his Hull City side following the convincing 3-0 win over 10-man Accrington.

Mallik Wilks’ 12th goal of the season, Cardiff loanee Gavin Whyte’s first for the club and a penalty from substitute Josh Magennis sent the Tigers top of League One.

And the boss was delighted with how his players performed against a Stanley side that have surprised many this season.

“We had to be good tonight,” said McCann. “We were playing against, in my opinion, one of the best teams in the league.

“I thought we were excellent in the first half.
