Grant McCann was left to lament his side’s second-half performance as Hull City were beaten 4-1 at Fleetwood.
The Tigers went in at the break level after George Honeyman’s close-range strike cancelled out Harvey Saunders’ solo effort.
But three unanswered second-half goals from Callum Camps, Saunders again and Sam Stubbs gave the Cod Army victory and ended City’s perfect start to the season.
“I thought in the first half it was an even game,” said McCann.
“The first real challenge we had when we conceded first, in terms of how we are going to respond, we responded well.
