McCann hails Hull City’s ‘bravery’

Grant McCann hailed his side’s “bravery” after Hull City maintained their 100% start with a comfortable 2-0 win at Northampton.

First-half goals from Keane Lewis-Potter and George Honeyman made it three wins – and three clean sheets – from three league games for the Tigers.

And McCann was pleased with the way his team dealt with the Cobblers’ direct style.

“The game was everything we thought it was going to be,” said McCann.

“They play in a certain way, a certain style. They like to get the ball forward very quickly, whether it’s a throw-in, whatever it may be, they fling things into your box.
