Grant McCann was disappointed to come away from the Kassam Stadium with a point after a 1-1 draw at Oxford United.
Greg Docherty’s first Hull City goal cancelled out James Henry’s 10th-minute opener as the Tigers were held to a first draw of the season in front of 1,000 fans.
“I thought for 25-30 minutes Oxford were good. I thought for 60 minutes we were good,” said McCann.
“We didn’t start the game well. We knew we were coming to a team that are the best in the league in terms of pressing the ball high up the pitch.
